Rugeley Town Council and Brereton and Ravenhill Parish Council have jointly established a Community Mediation Scheme, 'Mediation Rugeley and Brereton', for their areas to provide a dispute-resolution service for the benefit of the local people.
The scheme begins operation in Rugeley on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

The annual Charter Fair is weeks away and the Town Council have now finalised the activities for the day’s festivities. This year the event will be bigger, better and certainly different. As always, admission and field activities are FREE.
The theme of the event is the Festival of Cultures to celebrate the Olympics coming to the UK and the various cultures and countries that come together.
The day will begin with the parade from Power Station Road at 12 noon following the same route as last year. From Power Station Road on to Station Road, Anson Street, Elmore Lane, Sheepfair, Church Street, Wolseley Road, Market Street, St. Paul’s Road and finally Horse Fair and onto the Hagley Park where there will be a variety of activities and entertainment for a fun filled family dayout.
