£1.25m improvements to Rugeley Leisure Centre

In addition to the repair works, the Council, IHL and The Football Foundation have commissioned a project to create a state of the art, outdoor 3G artificial grass pitch, with low energy LED floodlights. The car park facilities will be extended and will include electric vehicle charging points. This work will cost £0.75m and is due to be completed in early September 2021.
The leisure centre will remain open to the public throughout the works and we will endeavour to minimise disruption to services.
Work started on Monday (17 May 2021) and is set to be complete by early September 2021.
