Damage to 200 year old bridge - call for witnesses

The police are investigating reports of criminal damage on Hagley Drive, Rugeley, after a 200-year-old bridge was vandalised on 6th June.

Sometime between 4pm and 7pm on Wednesday 6 June, a number of unknown offenders approached a sandstone bridge on residential land and caused significant damage by kicking four pillars and knocking them from the bridge.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and have increased patrols in the immediate area.
