Resurfacing Works at Market Street

The works in Market Street will start during week commencing 12th March 2018, between the hours of
9.30am and 3.30pm, and will take approximately 10 days to complete, although you may see a
presence on site prior to this date as we mobilise equipment.
During the first week we will replace any damaged kerbs in addition to adjusting/replacing the ironwork
in preparation of the carriageway surfacing works.
The surfacing works will then commence on Monday 19th March 2018, again between the hours of
9.30am and 3.30pm between Station Road Island and Bryans Lane.
The majority of the works will take place under temporary traffic signals in order to maintain a through
route for vehicles with as little impact or inconvenience as possible, but as with any major works, some
disturbance is unavoidable.
Access to your premises will be maintained throughout the surfacing operation, however there may be
times of short restriction as we carry out these essential repairs outside each property, if this is the case
then you will need to take advice from a member of the site team.
There may be short delays even within the extents of the works, so I must ask that you drive carefully
and slowly through any sections of live roadwork’s, for both the workforces and your own safety.
